Why JRo? – The long answer:
When I first started publishing books, they included some very adult content and I was still teaching maths to impressionable high school kids – or at least trying to! So I released a collection of smutty stories and a hard-hitting military thriller as Rowanna Green – the alter-ego I used when chatting with authors all over the world.

But when I pubbed a couple of series of much sweeter, cleaner YA stories, I used my real name – Jacky Gray.
It’s time to put all these books in one place – hence JRoauthor.

Backstory

I’ve always preferred a buffet to a la carte – I’d far rather nibble through a bunch of different taste sensations than work my way through a single dish. Same when it comes to stories. A Sword-wielding Archer shares the movie theatre in my head with SAS Hard-nuts, Geeky Engineers and even a Hot Angel. Blimey, it gets busy. But every single female in there is whip-smart, fearless and more than able to hold her own in a man’s world. Because they can, right!

Being a class-clown, I’ve surround these protagonists with a supporting cast who never let them take themselves seriously, so there’s always fun, adventure and romance, whatever they get up to. I suggest you have a snack ready or the frequent mouth-watering food descriptions (that’s Jacky’s speciality) will have you diving for the biscuit tin. As for Ro – make sure you have access to a cold shower or somesuch.
