The stories are very well written with complex plots that takes a bit of concentration to follow but it is worth the effort. It is also made easier by well-developed casts of characters that bring the stories to life with their distinct personalities and solid backstories. There is a lot of intrigue in each story as we try to puzzle out the real motives of everyone involved, plus a fair amount of action. We also get the occasional bit of steam, which doesn’t hurt my feelings at all. Overall, I found the series to be highly engaging, hard to put down and very enjoyable.“
